Getting Started with Manico
Welcome to Manico! This guide will help you get up and running with the fastest app switcher for macOS.
Installation
Download Manico from manico.mariuti.com. After purchasing, you’ll receive a download link via email. Open the DMG and drag Manico to your Applications folder.
Initial Setup
When you first launch Manico, you’ll need to grant Accessibility permission in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. This is required for Manico to switch between apps.
Once granted, you’ll see the Manico icon in your menu bar and a list of your running applications.
Assigning Shortcuts
To make Manico yours, assign shortcuts to your most-used apps:
- Open the Manico switcher with your hotkey (Ctrl+Tab by default)
- You’ll see your running apps listed with available shortcut slots
- Assign a number or letter to each app
Using Manico
Once shortcuts are assigned:
- Press your hotkey (Ctrl+Tab) to open the switcher
- Press the assigned key (e.g.,
1for your editor,2for the browser) - The app activates instantly — no cycling needed
Customizing the Hotkey
You can change the trigger hotkey in Settings. Manico supports Command, Control, Option, and Shift modifiers combined with any key.
